Justin Timberlake’s The bartender defended him after he was arrested for DUI in New York City on June 18. “If he had more to drink, he wouldn’t be here,” the employee told People magazine after confirming that the 43-year-old singer had just had one drink.
The statement comes shortly after the “Mirrors” hitmaker was arrested for drink driving, in which he told officers he “had a martini and followed my friend home,” after which he refused to take a breathalyzer test three times after his arrest.
Attorney Edward Burke Jr. E.T. Justin has been charged with DUI and is scheduled to appear in court online on July 26th.
“He had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath, difficulty distributing his attention, slowed speech, was unsteady on his gait and performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests,” the Sag Harbor Police Department told the outlet.
“Officers with the Sag Harbor Village Police Department conducted a traffic stop and, after an investigation, it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating a vehicle while intoxicated,” the statement read.
Furthermore, the police said: [Justin] It was confirmed that [he] He was operating the vehicle while intoxicated; his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, he had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath, he had difficulty dissipating attention, he was slow to speak, he was unsteady on his gait, and he performed poorly on all standard field sobriety tests.”
A person involved said: E.T. “Justin feels regret, shame and humiliation, but he also feels responsible…” [he] “I don’t believe I need help with alcohol,” he said, instead calling the incident a “serious error of judgment.”
Despite the incident, he briefly addressed the arrest during a show in Chicago: “We’ve been through the good times, the bad times, the ups and downs together. Well, this has been a rough week… but you’re here. I’m here… I know it’s hard to love me sometimes, but you continue to love me and I love you. Thank you so much,” he said.
