Hello everyone. box art brawl!
last timeexamined the fourth entry in Capcom’s Mega Man franchise. rockman 4 For Famicom. It wasn’t even close. Far from it! A whopping 79% of users preferred the Japanese variant, with the EU version winning 15% of the votes and the North American version trailing him by a significant 7%.
This week we look at classic FPS for GameCube. time splitter 2In many ways it feels just as fresh as it did in 2002, so it’s hard to believe the game is 20 years old now. To this day, it’s the most fun experience you’ll ever have in an FPS title.
Timesplitters 2 has never been released in Japan, so obviously this brawl will be a duel between North America and Europe.
Vote in the poll below. First, let’s check out the box art design itself.
North America
The North American box art for Timesplitters 2 features a single character front and center, pointing a rather large gun at the viewer. There’s a lot of stroboscopic effect going out from the center, but otherwise not a lot of color is happening here.
Europe
The European variant is quite different, featuring three separate characters in a composition similar to comic book art, with panels separating each character. Not only that, but the artwork itself is more stylized. It’s busier and has more going on, but overall it’s a fun image. There is none.
Thank you for voting! See you at the next Box Art Brawl.
