To commemorate our 30th anniversary, Essence Fest This year we had a huge event with a variety of celebrity performances and activations never seen before.
A host of celebrities were seen being styled and profiled, with attendees travelling from far and wide to take part in the annual weekend-long festival.
In an iconic group photo showcasing black excellence, beauties Regina King, Sanaa Lathan, Tabitha Brown, Garcelle Beauvais and Marsai Martin were seen sporting glamorous looks at the ladies branch of Target.
King wore a blue and white Generation Love button-up dress, while Lathan opted for a denim Karina Grimaldi maxi dress.
Brown and Beauvais brought the citrus vibe with orange Farm Rio and Mango looks, while Martin looked glamorous in a colorful Area print dress.
Singer Ari Lennox took to the stage in a denim LaQuan Smith outfit styled by Jeremy Haines. Ari’s rose gold “Giuseppe Zanotti x Mary J. Blige The boots kept her in the spotlight and the fishnet stockings made her look stage-ready.
Keke Palmer, who recently gave a stunning tribute to Usher at the BET Awards, wore a black asymmetrical Balmain dress with 3D flowers at the neckline.
As opposed to the dresses and heels worn by the ladies above, Victoria Monet looked edgy in leather biker shorts and a sexy, modern maroon beaded top that provided a lovely contrast to her quilted leather jacket.
Sparkling from head to toe was none other than SWV in custom looks by Anthony Lattimore styled by J. Bolin The ladies looked super intense and futuristic as they performed their hits throughout the festival.
At Essence Fest, celebrities really “dressed up” in glamorous outfits. Everyone’s style was unique, super cool, and overall fun.
