Weeks after many celebrities, politicians and other notable figures called on Biden to withdraw from the race, several people reacted to the president’s announcement on Sunday, July 31, including a former US president. The Clintons issued a joint statement supporting Biden’s historic decision, saying Bill and Hillary were “honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris” and acknowledged that they would “do whatever it takes to support her.”
