trend Global Editorial Director and Chief Content Officer, Condé Nast Anna Wintour As the event began, she stood confidently, her trademark bob hairstyle and a floral Chanel maxi dress draped over her head.
“We’re not going to let the government take over the business,” Wintour said at the February meeting.
“If Vogue World: New York was a street fair and Vogue World: London was a glamorous evening at the theatre and support for London’s arts and cultural organisations, then Paris will be a kind of opening ceremony, celebrating 100 years of fashion and sport and this great city.”
With the 2024 Summer Olympics fast approaching, a variety of sports were woven into the show as highlights: Imagine famed dancer Parris Goebel featuring gymnastics, tennis, fencing and cycling all in a perfectly choreographed performance.
Creative director Teyana Taylor brought heat, drama and killer dance moves to the stage. She strutted across the cobblestones in a metal and embellished Paco Rabanne dress, and her back fencer dancers performed some of the most extreme twists we’d ever seen.
Ciara, who just gave birth to her third child, Amora Princess Wilson, in December, also performed, looking stunning in a custom Givenchy dress.
Her dress consisted of a gold sequined bodysuit and lime green chiffon cape and skirt, which fluttered in the breeze and stood out against the clear blue sky.
In contrast to Ciara’s vibrant hues, singer Katy Perry walked out in a meticulously crafted, 3D black and pink Noir Kay Ninomiya dress that exuded a progressive vibe.
