In addition to her technical skills, Alexandra is also an accomplished director, cinematographer and producer of short films, with a particular focus on capturing human emotion and response. Alexandra has honed her craft in various roles at post-production companies in Dallas, Atlanta and Los Angeles, as well as at NBCUniversal for BRAVO and E!.
One of her most notable projects is Rescue Teamis a thrilling drama that follows a beleaguered couple who become embroiled in a kidnapping plot. The film received great acclaim, winning five prestigious awards and garnering four nominations, including an Honorable Mention for Best Director at the 2024 Eastern European Film Festival and the Jury Prize for Best Drama at the 2024 Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF).
Rescue Team It also won the January Award for Best Sound Design at the 2024 International Film Awards and was nominated as a Cinema Studio+ finalist. The editing was also highly praised, winning the Best Editing award at the 2023 Prague International Film Festival, the 2024 Green International Film Festival, and the May Award for Best Editing at the 2021 Eastern European Film Festival.
One project that showcases Alexandra’s editing skills is Mystique No.4is a moving story about a woman who inherits a painting that holds deep sentimental value. The film garnered significant acclaim with six awards and two nominations, including the 2nd Place Jury Prize for Best Editing at the prestigious 2024 Big Fridge International Film Festival, Best Production and Best Trailer at the prestigious 2024 Bratislava International Film Awards, the Jury Prize for Best Trailer at the 2024 Creation International Film Festival and Best Trailer of the Year at the 2024 Short to the Point International Film Festival.
Mystique No.4 It won the October Award for Best Editing at the Eastern European Film Festival 2023, Best Editing at the Lion King International Film Festival 2023 and the International Film Awards 2023. It also won the Special Award for Best Editing at the Cinematic European Film Festival.
Alexandra’s expertise also extends to feature length documentaries and she has solo edited: A million smiles, Directed by Karen Blanchfield, this heartwarming documentary reveals the inspiring story of the Baseball Without Borders (BWB) Foundation, a nonprofit organization that has provided baseball equipment to children in over 50 countries since 1995. The film chronicles BWB’s journey from its headquarters in San Francisco to Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, highlighting the joy and hope that baseball and softball bring to underprivileged children around the world.
