Mr. Terrific is a DC superhero who first appeared in comics in 1942. Two different men took up the mantle of Mr. Terrific. First Terry Sloan, then Michael Holt. The photo Gunn posted is of Holt, who appeared in DC’s Arrowverse from seasons 4 through 8 as Arrow.
Holt has the ability to easily learn and perfect skills that others spend a lifetime working on. He has his 14 PhDs, a tech company that he eventually sold to Waynetech, and is a gold medal-winning Olympian. After his family died in an accident, he takes the name Mr. Terrific and joins the Justice Society of America, recently seen in DC’s Black Adam.
It’s unclear exactly what role Mr. Terrific will play in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC plans. started working on the plan.
We know Gunn is more focused on building a “new DCU” than spending time on a canceled project. The new DC Universe will feature the return of Henry Cavill’s Superman, and Aquaman star Jason Momoa teased that Gunn has fulfilled one of his dreams.
