Singer and actress Eileen Cara, best known for singing the title track in 1980s films fame When flash dance, died. She was 63 years old.
Carla died at her home in Florida, said her publicist, Judith Moose, who broke the news on Carla’s social media accounts on Saturday.

Cara inspired the next generation of artists. Broadway conductor and radio host Seth Rudetzky says seeing Carla on screen as a child helped shape his career ambitions.
“Irene Cara epitomized success in the arts and gave us excitement, hope and enthusiasm to pursue art,” he said.
