Appearing inFox & FriendsForeigner lead singer Kelly Hansen announced Monday that the band is planning a farewell tour beginning in July 2023.
“Our plan is to travel to every place we’ve ever played before it’s all over,” Hansen explained. No, so we plan to cover the US next year and the rest of the world in 2024.”
There are many reasons why they chose to retire from touring.

“It varies. For me personally, it’s important to give these songs as they should and it’s getting harder and harder every year to sing high tenor songs. I have high standards and it’s really important I want to quit. While we were doing our best,” he said. “The last 17 years have taken a little strain on you. COVID came and I saw four seasons for the first time at home. I am looking forward to spending time with my new wife and family. it’s going to be great. I have many other things that I am passionate about in life. ”
In a statement released by the band, Hansen expressed how grateful he is to the fans who have supported the band from the beginning. The rest of the band know it’s time to enjoy some time at home.
The band formed in 1976 and released their biggest hit in 1984 with “I Want to Know What Love Is.” Their song “Waiting for a Girl Like You” reached his number two spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and stayed there for a record ten weeks. In total, 14 singles reached the top 20 of the charts.
Foreigner is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time. 9 studio albums, five of which have gone multi-platinum. The band’s first compilation of her four albums, ‘Records’, sold over 50 million copies worldwide.
Joining Hansen on “Fox & Friends” was the OneVoice choir at Briarcrest Christian School, which won a competition to perform with Foreigner.

“We have worked together Grammy Foundation 10 years to get the choir to sing. With the Farewell Tour, we’re going to do something new with up to five choirs opening up for us at every show,” said Hansen. It’s the first thing that stops when the budget runs out. ”
On “Fox & Friends,” Hansen performed with OneVoice, singing a medley of the band’s biggest hits and fan favorites.
