Soap drama star Sonya Eddy diedShe was 55 years old.
Octavia Spencer announced her instagram The ‘General Hospital’ actress died Monday. She did not provide details about Eddie’s cause of death.

A representative for ABC did not immediately respond to Page 6’s request for comment.
Eddie began his long run in 2006 with the ABC soap opera. She played the character Epiphany Johnson, a no-nonsense head nurse who was the mother of the late Stan Johnson who was involved in a mob.
Eddy also played a role in SOAPnet’s spin-off, General Hospital: Night Shift.
Eddie has appeared in TV shows such as Seinfeld, Patch Adams, Reba, Monk, Joanne of Arcadia, CSI, Glee, Castle, and Fresh Off the Boat. I also acted in shows and movies. “
Celebrities and fans flooded Spencer’s announcement with comments of sympathy and condolences.
