In the message, Ozzy reminded fans of his 2019 fall that injured his spine. “My only purpose is [in the years’ since] I am back on stage,” wrote Ozzy. “My singing voice is great. But after three surgeries, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and my recent breakthrough Cybernic (HAL) treatment, my body is still physically weak. .”
Ozzy was due to start his European tour in May, but said, “I apologize to my fans who have been patiently waiting. [their] Ticket all this time”. “I know I can’t cope with the necessary travel, so I find myself physically unable to make the upcoming European/UK tour dates,” Ozzy admitted. “Believe me when I say the idea of letting my fans down is really driving me crazy more than you know.”
As the message continued, Ozzy revealed that this would mark the end of his career as a traditional touring artist. However, he is still determined to do the show when he can. “My team is currently coming up with ideas about where we can perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”
When Ozzy fell in 2019, he aggravated a back injury he had previously suffered from a 2003 ATV accident. He had surgery after a fall and then had two more surgeries in the years since. He was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020 and now needs a cane for mobility. He concluded, “I would like to thank my family, band, crew, his longtime friend Judas Priest and of course my fans for their unfailing devotion, loyalty and support.” “And for giving me a life I never dreamed of.”
