Happy Friday, Bombers & Bombshells!
Yesterday morning, I was lucky enough to attend my first meeting. Dine at the Divas Charity Lunch at the legendary Apollo Theater!
The Dining with the Divas luncheon is part of School Day Live, Apollo’s signature program that brings live performances to K-12 students and provides in-depth resources for teaching and learning about those performances. Raise funds. For many young people, this is their first experience with a live or professional performance. The program extends the ‘Apollo Experience’ to school-aged children, connects new generations of theater fans, brings topics and traditionally unheard voices to the forefront, and encourages active audiences as well as spectators. Invite them as regular participants. Thanks to Apollo’s generous donors, all presentations were made available free of charge to schools and attendees and have been reimagined to present a hybrid of virtual and in-person production.
By giving back to the community on the agenda, the women at the luncheon have come to kill! Let’s see:
