Christine Milioti Colin Farrell will co-star in the Batman spin-off series. penguin and HBO Max, variety I learned.
Exact plot details for the series, currently titled ‘The Penguin’, have not been revealed. It is believed to have happened shortly after the events of “The Batman”. Farrell will reprise the infamous Batman villain he played in the film.
Milioti stars as Sophia Falcone, the daughter of Gotham mafia boss Carmine Falcone. John Turturro played Carmine in ‘The Batman’ and Penguin was his right-hand man.
Sophia was originally introduced in the mid-1990s Batman comics. Milioti became her second actress to play Sophia in a live-action series, and Krystal her lead played her in Fox’s series ‘Gotham’.
This will be the second HBO Max series starring Milioti. She previously headed the comedy series Made for Love. Canceled after 2 seasons in june. She also recently appeared in the critically acclaimed Peacock her series ‘The Resort’ and the movie ‘Palm Springs’. She also appeared in the ‘USS Callister’ episode of ‘Black Mirror’ and is also known for her work on stage.

variety Exclusively reported Pharrell has officially signed a deal with HBO Max to star in ‘The Penguin’ in December 2021. Arrange programs in series Lauren LeFranc is a writer, executive producer and showrunner.
The Batman will be directed by Matt Reeves through 6th & Idaho and executive produced by Dylan Clark through Dylan Clark Productions. Pharrell executives will produce in addition to starring. Craig Zobel is the executive producer and director of his first two episodes. 6th & Idaho’s Daniel Pipski also serves as Executive Producer, and Rafi Croh serves as Co-Executive Producer. Warner Bros. Television is the studio. 6th & Idaho are currently in a comprehensive deal with WBTV. The series is based on characters created for his DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
“The Penguin” is one of three spin-offs of “The Batman” currently in production at HBO Max. variety Exclusively reported Antonio Campos is set to write a series set in Arkham Asylum, while a series set in Gotham PD is still in development.
