Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Ending Explained
The film opens with T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) desperately trying to save her brother’s life. We don’t know what Black Panther is suffering from, but unfortunately, despite Shuri’s best efforts, he passed away.
A year later, the nations of the world find themselves basically in the middle of a vibranium arms race. A raid is taking place. The Queen fears that this means the world sees Wakanda as weak without Black Panther, but she also wonders what would happen if Vibranium was allowed to fall into the wrong hands. I’m worried.
A native of the underwater civilization known as the Tarokans, Namor is the ruler of his realm, and he and his people also possess a source of vibranium that even the inhabitants of Wakanda were unaware of.
The CIA has obtained a vibranium detector, but Namor wishes to kill its creator in order to stop the people of the surface world from interfering with those under the sea for precious metals. This leads the Wakandan to Machine’s creator, MIT student Lili Williams (and a Marvel character already known to have her own show on Disney+). .
While in Boston, Shuri and Okoye (Danai Gurira) clash with Namor’s lieutenants Namora (Mabel Cadena) and Atuma (Alex Livinari), and Shuri and Lili are captured by Waterbreather and taken to Tarokhan. increase. There, Namor takes Shuri on a tour of the underwater realm as to why he should join him against the surface world, which Wakanda sees as a threat to him. However, soon Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) infiltrates the cave where Shuri and Lili are being held, allowing them to escape to Wakanda.
Namor was not happy with this development, and he and his people quickly attacked Wakanda, resulting in the death of Queen Ramonda, who drowned while saving Lili. but Shuri can use the bracelet given to her by Namor to facilitate the creation of the synthetic heart-shaped herb, the vibranium-enhancing plant that traditionally gave Black Panther its powers. but the previous movie when Killmonger destroyed all traces of it.
Shuri ingests the herb and becomes the new Black Panther. Did. During battle, Lili fights in an Iron Man-like armor she designs, while M’Baku (Winston Duke) and other Wakandans battle the people of Namor. However, the ship crashes on a desert beach and engages in hand-to-hand combat that sees Shuri be impaled through the stomach. Fighting through the pain, she blasts him with her ship’s afterburner, severely weakening him.
Although she has a blade around his neck, she sees Queen Ramonda in his heart and encourages compassion rather than revenge by saying, “Show them who you are.” She tells Namor to give in and put the people first, much like T’Challa did to Killmonger in the first film. Namor accepts and the battle is over.
As the movie ends, a new style of heart-shaped herb is planted, Lili returns home safely, and M’Baku once again vie for the throne of Wakanda. However, she could have killed him, and in fact they are stronger in their alliance. We also see Okoye rescue Everett K. Ross, Martin Freeman’s former CIA agent. Everett K. Ross is arrested earlier in the film by her ex-wife for secretly collaborating with Wakanda. His ex-wife is Julia Louis-Dreyfus Valentina Allegra de Fontaineis slowly recruiting thunderbolt During Phase 4 of the MCU for their final movie.
Shuri visits Nakia in Haiti so she can burn the robes from T’Challa’s funeral, as her mother instructed her earlier in the film. Watching you think, footage of Boseman plays and it seems clear that Shuri will pursue a more sympathetic career as the new Black Panther than if he had succumbed to revenge and killed Namor in their battle. between.
Black Panther: Will there be a Wakanda Forever post-credits scene?
As you can see at the top of this page, Wakanda Forever has a mid credits scene but no end credits scene. Let’s dig into what’s happening right now in these mid-credits.
The scene is still set on the beach with Shuri as Nakia asks if she and a young boy can join her. tells Shuri that it is only his Haitian name. His real name is T’Challa, the son of King T’Challa of Wakanda. Elders T’Challa and Nakia choose to raise their son in Haiti away from the pressures of the throne. They performed their own service for him in Haiti. That’s right, Ramonda got to meet his grandson before he died.
The film is also dedicated to Chadwick Boseman and ends with the title card “The Black Panther Returns”.
Wakanda Forever Easter Egg
Now it’s time for the Easter eggs we found…
- Namor convinces Shrith that he is a mutant. Of course, so do comics. He was also a member of the X-Men!Follow the link for more information on how Namor Launches X-Men at Wakanda Forever.
- Basing Tarokhan’s culture on Aztec and Mesoamerican cultures is a new addition by the MCU, replacing Atlantis as Namor’s traditional home. Tarocan is an underground paradise described in Aztec manuscripts and based on where people go after a water-related death. It is ruled by the life-giving Tlaloc, the supreme deity of rain and water.
- Namor says “Imperius Rex” during the big fight with Shuri. This has been Namor’s comedic roar for decades. The loose Latin translation is “King of Emperors”, so I guess it basically means “I’m going to kick your ass because I’m a king and I do what I want” But that’s a bit wordy, so “Imperius Rex.”
- Lili makes several references to the film when presented with the dress Shuri wears, saying that this is a classic villain treatment.Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Princess Leia from Star Wars, Lost Raiders of Ark. Under the Disney umbrella, I might add.
- Also, Lili goes to MIT. This is also where Tony Stark went and where MJ and Ned headed last time (while No (Remember Peter Parker).
- The news ticker running on the Anderson Cooper CNN report has some jokes. When the ticker first popped up, it was revealed that Ant-Man aka Scott Lang’s autobiography, Look Out for the Little Guy, was published, and another article mentioned a trade deal with New Asgard.
- Wukabi, played by Daniel Kaluuya in the original Black Panther movie, is apparently imprisoned somewhere for sided with Killmonger over T’Challa in the Battle of Bashenga Mountain. But are he and Okoye still married?
- The Midnight Angels have a comic history as an elite subgroup of the Dora Mirage, specifically tasked with killing Doctor Doom alongside Deadpool. In the film, Okoye and Aneka don Midnight Angles his armor during the final battle scene.
That’s all the Easter eggs I’ve found so far, is there anything I missed? What did you think of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever? Let us know in the comments!
