“Avengers” star Jeremy Renner is receiving treatment for serious injuries sustained while plowing snow, the actor’s representative said Sunday.
Renner, 51, is in stable but critical condition, the actor’s representative said. Details regarding the extent of Renner’s injuries were not available.
The actor has a home in Nevada, but it’s unclear where he got his injuries. Renner will play Hawkeye, a sniper member of the superhero Avengers team, in Marvel’s sprawling film and TV universe.
He has been nominated twice for an Academy Award for “The Hurt Locker” and “The Town” and has been nominated twice in a row. His portrayal of Iraqi bomb disposal specialist Renner in 2008’s The Hurt Locker helped make him a household name.
2012’s The Avengers cemented him as part of Marvel’s grand storytelling ambitions, with his character appearing in several sequels and getting its own Disney+ series, Hawkeye. I made it.
