Last spring, Off-White announced that editor and stylist Ibrahim Kamara would take over as creative director. For his first official show, the multi-hyphenated fashion boy reconciled his heritage with the firm spirit of the Maison: Varsity his bombers coated in fine West African fabricsGowns and tailoring of his jackets . The clothes that Tennis Club de Paris transformed into the moon landing set were out of this world. Kamala puts on a show and also knows how to close a show. For the final look, he had model legend Naomi Campbell close the presentation and stand by him while he bowed.
Campbell strutted down the runway wearing one of the varsity bomber jacket and gown hybrids. Her ribbed collar forms a steep V-neckline and ends on one of her garment’s enlarged zippers.
Naomi knows the Off-White runway well and wears each look effortlessly. We’re glad Kamala is keeping her legacy alive with the brand and we can’t wait to see more of her in his designs for her home.
