French designer Jean Paul Gaultier was ahead of his time and a veritable trailblazer in the fashion industry, and has long been a loyal patron of his brand through iconic and re-emerging designs.
Who could forget the infamous 1995 Fall/Winter show when Jean Paul Gaultier first introduced his legendary dot prints inspired by op art designer Victor Vasarely? Perhaps no one could have imagined that polka dots would still be popular after nearly 20 years.
From celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Cardi B to Real Housewives Nene Leakes and Porsha Williams, Jean Paul Gaultier’s archived dot-print designs feature some of our favorite celebrities. was seen in
Most recently, Porsha Williams Guovadia was spotted in a two-piece Jean Paul Gaultier ensemble while vacationing in Costa Rico with husband Simon. seems like she never had a day off from the gym.
Along with Porsha, former Housewives of Atlanta co-star Nene Leakes was killed in a spicy Jean-Paul Gaultier catsuit while dating boyfriend Nyonicera Sio in February. It’s great to see RHOA graduates smiling and finding new love again after her husband Greg Leakes passed away last year.
Singer Tamar Braxton also looked fierce while playing a basketball game in the exact same catsuit. Congratulations to Court’date finalist J.R. Robinson and Tamar Braxton, who recently got engaged.
Don’t forget Chloe Bailey in a hip-hugging catsuit to the GQ Men of the Year party last November. This Jean Paul Gaultier bodysuit looked great on the 24-year-old singer’s hourglass shape. We’re rooting for Chloe’s Bailey, who recently released her solo album, In Pieces, this month.
In contrast to the women above, Kim Kardashian and Cardi B opted to wear bodycon dress versions of the JPG dot print. While visiting fashion houses and dating then-husband Kanye West, Kim Kardashian looked like the vibe of her figure matching a JPG dress.
So much so that a media mogul put KFC back on the map while snapping a picture of him dining with West at a fast-food restaurant chain.

Cardi B in particular is one celeb who has never shied away from JPG apparel, whether performing on stage or attending a press event. Before more celebs catch up on the trend, Colin Carter sported Cardi B in a JPG dot dress with strappy open-toe heels while attending a photocall in LA for the movie Hustlers. I styled it.
On another occasion, we spotted Cardi B performing at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium for the Hot 97 Summer Jam.
Australian rapper Iggy Azalea also decided to join the JPG trend, rocking a two-piece long-sleeved and leggings ensemble. It made the print look even more futuristic and modern.
It’s clear that this Jean Paul Gaultier dot print will be gone soon, and we know it’s only a matter of time before more of our favorite celebrities join this everlasting trend.
