We’ve seen more shows today, but we still don’t know the release date, and a mere “2023” is still the only hint.
HBO has hinted at a new look for its upcoming series The Last of Us. It seems likely that it will arrive today.
As part of Naughty Dog last of us day (previously known as Outbreak Day), HBO looks to reveal a new side to its upcoming video game adaptation starring Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Vera Ramsey’s Ellie.
“The Last of Us Day is our way of celebrating not just us in the studio, but our amazing The Last of Us community that brings so much positivity, kindness and joy to each other.” So, we have some exciting surprises to share!”
Based on HBO’s Twitter feed, it looks like one of those surprises will be a glimpse into the upcoming show. A short five-second stinger reveals his iconic HBO logo and the unmistakable sound of the infamous foe Clicker from the universe of The Last of Us.

Tweet with hashtag #TLOUDAY, This video seems to give The Last of Us fans even more reason to celebrate. It’s unclear what exactly we’ll get — the video itself doesn’t tell us anything. Still, it seems like the perfect time to reveal a little more about the upcoming TV adaptation.
“We are so humbled to be able to celebrate The Last of Us community on #TLOUDay each year,” said Naughty Dog. “Please endure and survive to the end of the universe and back, with gratitude and gratitude to our wonderful community.”
Again, no mention of an upcoming HBO series, but throw us into the clicker if we don’t get another glimpse of Joel and Ellie in action by the end of the day. can do.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the next show since HBO released a first look at The Last of Us last month.
A short teaser shows Joel and Ellie alongside Joel’s daughter Sarah (Nico Parker), fellow survivor Bill (Nick Offerman), a clicker stuck in a wall (or its remains), and potentially Frank. (Murray Bartlett) gives us a glimpse. .
What we see today is tightly veiled… but it sounds like zombies are coming.
