A UK-based artist has proven that art knows no boundaries by creating a miniature Stonehenge sculpture from his own kidney stone. Simon Le Bogit has presented his own interpretation of British historic landmarks in an exhibition organized by the arts charity Outside In.
by charity houseBogitt revealed that he came up with the idea to make microsculpts from his own kidney stones during years of ultrasonic shock wave lithotripsy sessions. His artwork, created from a kidney stone, is intended as a “monument” to the dedication, hard work, and humanitarian understanding displayed by the caring staff of the National Health Service (NHS).
It is also “a stark reminder of the delicate nature of our normalcy, health and mortality,” he added.
by BBC, Mr. Bogitt’s artwork was exhibited in a traveling exhibition entitled ‘Humanity’. This exhibition features the work of 80 artists and explores the theme of what it means to be human.
This is the 6th national public exhibition hosted by Outside In, which was established to promote the work of artists who have been “often overlooked” due to factors such as health and disability.

Meanwhile, apart from Mr. Bogitt’s miniature Stonehenge, the exhibition also included paintings and drawings, ceramics, photography and performance pieces, according to the outlet.・”RNLI Saves Refugees” by Burns was included.
Outside In Founder and Director Mark Steen said: It made me think about what it means to be human and how to behave like a human. ”
according to BBCthe exhibition will run until 27 January at Sotheby’s London before heading to Glasgow and Brighton later this year.
