- Damage CTRL, Nicky Cross, Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Blair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, Becky Lynch
- Ronda Rousey vs. Shotzi (SmackDown Women’s Championship)
- AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor
- Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Theory (U.S. Championship)
Let’s take a look at everything that went down at Saturday’s show.
women’s wargame match
1/5
The first match of the night will be a Women’s Wargames match against Bianca Blair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim vs. Bailey, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Nikki Cross and Lea Ripley was.
Belair and Kai have started the team match. With the heel having the advantage, Sky joined his tag team partner in the ring after the first five minutes.
When Cross enters the match, she brings a ton of weapons from under the ring. When Bailey joined a few minutes later, she brought some ladders and a table into the ring.
Ripley and Lynch entered the match as the final members of their respective teams. Once the man entered the ring, the match officially began, and he could have won at any moment.
There is no other way to say this: The match was absolute mayhem. It also included a callback for
Several spots in this match didn’t go as planned and there were some crises that could lead to injuries. It helped the match be competitive, but slowed it down in spots.
Lynch earned the pin for his team by hitting a large leg drop from the top of the cage and sending Kai through the table.
This was a fun way to start the show.
winner: Berea, Bliss, Im, Asuka, Lynch
School year: B-
Notable Moments and Observations
- Everyone’s equipment for this match was great. They put all their effort into the design.
- Bellair hit a rough backbreaker at one point. Kai almost landed on his head.
- Skye’s Hurricanrana to Bel Air did not go as planned. She barely had her feet on Bellaire’s shoulders.
- Dropkick Sky was the best, jumping from one rope to another before hitting Belair.
- They make fun of Air vs Asuka. Please play the match already.
- I cross-hit everyone in the ring at the time with a big dive from the top of the cage.
- The scene of dividing the 9-man Tower of Doom Spot with a cross was hilarious.
- Lynch’s leg drop from the top of the cage was a nice way to close out the match.
Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles
2/5
In the second match of the night, AJ Styles took on Finn Bálor to see which of the former Bullet Club leaders was better.
The Phenomenal One had taken control early on, but the Prince wasn’t going to take it easy on him. .
About ten minutes into the match, all hell broke loose at ringside. The OC and the rest of Judgment Day started brawling, fighting the crowd and leaving Ballor and Styles alone.
As expected, the two veterans put on a great show. When you get to the level of experience these men have, it’s almost impossible for them to have a bad match. Putting two guys like this together almost always leads to a classic encounter .
After failing to secure a win at the Calf Crusher, Styles was able to secure a win with the Phenomenal Forearm. I’m glad I kept it away.
winner: AJ Styles
School year: A-
Notable Moments and Observations
- Balor wore a strange black mask upon entering. They were even weirder than the spikes they wore in the previous PPV.
- Stiles also wore a mask, but he looked like a gas mask.
- The suplex style used to corner Baller was picture perfect.
- Phenomenal One makes the 450 look easy.
- After this was over, Stiles’ chest was beat red.
Ronda Rousey vs. Shotzi (SmackDown Women’s Championship Match)
3/5
Shayna Baszler accompanied Ronda Rousey to the ring for her SmackDown title defense against Shotzi.
Ballsy Badass went straight to the champion, but the former UFC star was ready for her and locked her ankle within the first minute.
The match was built with Rousey as the dominant champion and Shotzi as the brave underdog. It worked well when the former NXT star was about to make a comeback, but each time the titleholder took over, things slowed down.
They ended up fighting in the crowd at one point. Shotzi took out Rousey, Bazler, and a few fans planted in the front row by leaping out of the barricade.
After they returned to the ring, the baddest woman on earth emerged victorious and retained the title.
This match had some fun moments, but overall it wasn’t great. Rousey knows a lot about the business, but he still has a lot of work to do to put together a competitive match.
winner: Ronda Rousey
School year: C.
Notable Moments and Observations
- Shotzi’s tank appeared to have an additional pyroshooter on the back, but it was not used.
- Rousey countering a dive into a belly-to-belly suplex was a cool spot.
- They tried to make a DDT spot on the apron, but Rousey grabbed the top rope and looked sloppy.
Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Theory (USA Championship)
4/5
Shortly after the bell rang for the US title triple threat match, Bobby Lashley kicked Austin Theory out of the ring. He tried to go back, but Seth Rollins knocked him out quickly.
This left Visionary and Almighty fighting alone until former Mr. Money in the Bank got involved again.
They did a great job balancing this match so they had sequences when all three were in control.
Lashley tried to get Rollins into Hartlock, but Theory jumped on his back with a sleeper and broke it. Rollins attacked Theory with a Superplex, but Almighty speared him when he tried to attack Falcon Arrow.
However, Theory made a cover and won the pin to win the title.
This match was decent, but some spots were too premeditated. The crowd was so upset with the result that it kind of went awry.
winner: austin theory
School year: B-
Notable Moments and Observations
- Theory’s tron video was just a toy ad. It was really strange.
- Rollins hits every dive perfectly. He just knows how to hit the flash every time. Even if it doesn’t look perfect, he lands exactly where he should.
- The flip that Rollins did to beat both opponents over the top rope was a great spot. The crowd ran out for it.
- The scene where The Visionary cracks the pin with the frog splash was awesome. It was unexpected because he came from off-screen.
- Rollins jumped off Theory’s back and hit Lashley with a stomp that was great.
men’s wargame match
5/5
The night’s main event was the men’s Wargames match, with Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sicoa and Sami Zayn taking on Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland.
Butch and Jay Uso started for the team, trading insults from opposite sides of the ring before actually engaging each other. It was Holland.
When it came time for the second member of The Bloodline to join the match, Reigns stopped Jimmy Uso and told Zayn to go in his place. It took a long time to arrive.
Once Jimmy got to the ring, he brought some tables into the cage. Jay and Zayn nearly got into a fight, but Jimmy got between them until Babyface got involved.
As expected, Reigns was the last man to enter the cage. Both teams stood in opposite rings for a showdown before everyone got involved.
Jay accidentally hit Zayn with a superkick, but he didn’t seem apologetic about it. This allowed Jay to hit a big splash and clinch the win for his team.
The women’s game was about big spots, but this one was about storytelling. Some of the feuds were dealt with in interesting ways, but Zayn and Owens were the most interesting competitors.
winner: pedigree
School year: B+

- Owens donned a Dusty Rhodes shirt to pay tribute to the man who invented the Wargames game.
- Can someone else’s elbow hurt when Butch stomps on their arm?
- Jey is one of the great underrated sellers in WWE today.
- It was hilarious to see McIntyre swinging Zayn around.
- Sitting in a chair inside a small cage, ready to come out, Raines was a lot more fun than he should have been.
- The moment the whole Babyface team hit The Bloodline on Beat of the Board Run felt a little over the top.
- It was a great moment when Zayn stopped the referee counting pins for a KO. The timing was perfect.
- Jay and Zayn’s hug was the perfect way to end this.
