- Doe says she was drunk when he took her up the stairs to the closet
- A few days later she tested positive for HIV, according to her complaint.
A woman owns a Princess Cruises ship that she claims was infected with HIV by an onboard art auction employee.
The woman filed an anonymous lawsuit yesterday over an incident she said took place in January 2022.
According to the complaint, an employee named Alexandre worked for the art gallery company Park West, not for Princess Cruises. Park West is holding his art auction on board Princess Cruises.
The woman, who was 27 at the time, says she had been drinking all day when Alexander noticed her and invited her to the auction.
Princess Cruises ships docked in Australia in 2020. The woman is now suing the cruise line, claiming she was raped on board in January 2022.
She says he asked her for her name and room number. She returned to her room and received a call from him, inviting him to return to her gallery.
When she returned, she said he made her drink more alcohol and climb the stairs.
The lawsuit explains that she was too drunk to physically push him away, but repeatedly told him she didn’t want to have sex.
After the incident, she began experiencing “unusual symptoms” so she visited a doctor, where she was HIV positive.
Park West Galleries is an art auction company that conducts auctions on board ships. The woman says the attackers worked for them and targeted her after she had been drinking all day.

“At the time of Cruise, she was 27 and basically fresh out of school. She was in the medical field and was really just getting started in life.
“For her, this horrifying incident was terrible in and of itself, but the added element of HIV is anyone’s worst nightmare,” her attorney, Michael Winkleman, said. Daily Beastobtained a copy of the lawsuit.
The woman is suing Princess Cruises and the Park West Gallery, which operates the gallery.
Winkleman told Beast that he is seeking “maximum compensation” from the two companies.
